    Morning Prayer Wednesdays during Lent

    Lent Morning prayer

    7:30 to 8:15am Wednesdays 12, 19, 26 March 2, 9 16 April

    On Wednesday mornings during Lent, a Morning Prayer Service according to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer will be held at St Philip’s Church. 7:30 to 8:15am. The series is titled ‘The Penitential Road in Luke’. Wednesdays 5, 12, 19 & 26 March, 2, 9 and 16 April.

    The Gospel In Cranmer's Liturgy

    The Prayer Book Society of NSW presents

    THE GOSPEL IN CRANMER'S LITURGY

    Experience worship rich in Reformation theology: Archbishop Cranmer's 1552 Holy Communion service led by the Rev Justin Moffatt.

    Following the service, Dr Stephen Tong and the Rev Dr Mark Earngey will explore how the evangelical principles of classical Anglican liturgy can help renew our contemporary gatherings, promote Christ and encourage believers.

    Hosted at St Philip's Church on 21st March 5:30pm for a 5:45pm start.

    Light refreshments will be served.

    LOVE IN ACTION ANGLICARE FOSTER CARE INFORMATION NIGHT AT ST PHILIP'S CHURCH TUESDAY 25 MARCH

    On Tuesday, 25th March at 7pm St Philip’s Church Anglicare, in partnership with Church Hill, will be holding an evening of insight and inspiration as we hear from current foster carers from Anglican churches, the Anglicare Foster Care team, and churches stepping into the gap to bring love, safety, and belonging to vulnerable children.

     

    If you’ve ever wondered:

    • What is foster care really about?

    • How great is the need?

    • Who can be involved—and how?

    This event is for you.

     

    Whether you’re considering fostering, looking for ways to support foster care families, or simply wanting to learn more, come and explore how we can all play a part in making a difference. Register via the button below.

  • Church Hill AGM of Parishioners

    Church Hill AGM of Parishioners

    12pm Sunday 30 March at St Philip's Church

     

    Take your place in the life of our church by being a part of the Annual General Meeting of Parishioners. We hear reports about various ministries, and make decisions. You can have your say in the life of our church, and hear updates on the Church Hill Renewal Project.

    But more importantly, we will elect officers: Parish Councillors, Wardens, Nominators.

    CITY CARE LUNCH SUNDAY 6 April

     

    The first City Care Lunch for 2025 will be held on Sunday 6 April at St Philip’s Church, with set up from 12pm.

    There’s a variety of ways you can help, both in the lead up and on the day. For a full list of needs and to sign up click on the VOLUNTEER Button below.

    If you’d like to support City Care Ministries financially you can do so via Square by clicking on the GIVE Button below. We’d also really appreciate your prayers for the day as we seek to show Jesus’ love to some of our most vulnerable neighbours.

    Community Groups are at the centre of our vision for church, and one of the ways that we can continue to walk and grow as disciples of Jesus as we do life together.
